The LGBTQ+ Advocate Power-Up Series educates members of the St. Cloud State community and builds a network of supportive advocates for the LGBTQ+ community.

In the 2023-2024 school year, there will be two levels of workshops offered. Level 1 requires no prior knowledge of LGBTQ+ identities. Level 2 assumes familiarity with LGBTQ+ terminology and issues.

In addition to the LGBTQ+ Advocate Power-Up Series, staff from the LGBT Resource Center are able to present on a range of topics. Topics include (but are not limited to): LGBTQ+ terminology, heterosexual privilege, LGBTQ+ history, gender and sexuality theory, and intersectionality.
In-person or virtual (Zoom/Microsoft Teams) instruction are available. Length of presentations can be adjusted to meet requestor's needs.

Affinity spaces are places to gather around a common identity and to talk about experiences with like-minded individuals.
Each affinity space has a specific identity. Only people with that identity should be in that space.

The Center's library carries books, periodicals, and DVDs. Topics include fiction, nonfiction, LGBTQ+ identities, history, LGBTQ+ research, feminism, politics and more. Materials may be checked out with a valid St. Cloud State ID.
